Have you ever encountered an inconvenience where you ran water down your bathroom or kitchen sink, but it didn’t drain smoothly, and leave your sink full of dirty water? Clogged drains are the most common plumbing problems that homeowners deal with.
Since these take a lot of attention, homeowners should try to clear these clogs as soon as they notice them.
In order to do this, there are simple ways or tips that a homeowner can do by himself to solve these plumbing hassles at home.
First is by hot water technique. For clogs in the center of a drain opening, one of the perfect DIY methods for clearing the debris is by pouring hot water down the opening.
While boiling a container of water, remove as much water from the tub as possible. Then, pour the entire container of water into the tub and wait.
If the water stands in the sink and the clog doesn’t move, give the water time to cool and remove it to try again. It might take a few times to move the clog with this method, but this usually works on many kinds of clogs.
